Family owned restaurant

Opened in 2008 by Tony and Michelle chueng, dragon palace has been producing authentic and delicious food to Pembrokeshire for over 15 years.

In more recent years, Dragon palace has been run by Lok and Jen cheung who have created the restaurant that we all know and love.

In 2021 Lok and Jen embarked on a new journey to bring a wider range of Asian cuisine to Pembrokeshire by creating Lokky’s, A pan Asian restaurant meshing together the traditional flavours of Asia.

In 2024, Lok and Jen reopened Umi in Tenby. The popular and busy restaurant specialises in Japanese cuisine that is loved by many.

Lok and Jen personally select the most skilled chefs and friendly front of house staff to create high quality food and a memorable dining experience.

As well as running Dragon Palace, we also own and manage other local restaurants including Lokky’s and Umi. These both serve pan-Asian cuisine, with Umi focusing more on a relaxed yōshoku dining experience.

You can even stay with us in The Imperial Dragon Hotel, just outside of the seaside village of Saundersfoot!

Our Sous Chef

Meet Sous Chef Reagan or as we like to call him, Chef Ron. Ron also from the Philippines has a keen eye for for pudding, he specialises in Pan Asian Cuisine and Asian Pastry Making. Ron has travelled all over the world working as a chef on cruise ships and he is now here in Umi to share his talent with you!

We proudly deliver a unique and attentive dining experience. Did you know we also serve Pembrokeshire produced cocktails with locally distilled spirits, perfect to accompany our flavour filled Chinese cuisine!

In Dragon palace, all of our front of house staff are fully equipped with knowledge about our menu. Any questions? please don’t hesitate to ask!

In our restaurant, we are happy to accommodate all party sizes, whether it be a meal for one or a large birthday celebration, we promise to make it as special as possible. Please let us know if you are celebrating a birthday with us, we would love to make it a memorable one.

 Verified Good food and service Ultra themed (in good taste) restaurant - we had a family meal with members who were vegan - the staff member we dealt with had a really good knowledge of ingredients and guided people through the menu - they also had a comprehensive set of details on ingreadients for those with allergies etc- quite impressive. For us normal people they had a comprehensive menu with a good range of selections. All the food was of a good quality and very tasty. We all enjoyed the meal. Only - minor - issue was that we had to leave at 9:30, but it was out of season for the area and had we known we might have gone earlier. Nice place and we will use them again for our next family get together. Recommended

 Verified Don’t miss the spare ribs! The best spare ribs I’ve had in a long time! We ordered one of the set meals for two, option B. There was plenty of food and the quality was spot on. The beef in black bean was so tender and the sauce was nice and thick, coating the meat. If anything service was a little quick but a tiny criticism for an overall excellent evening
